Marco Rubio Visits Reliance’s Jamnagar Refinery, Holds Talks with Mukesh Ambani
Discussions focus on energy security, new energy technologies, digital infrastructure and potential business partnerships between Reliance and US companies.
Jamnagar: Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani and Executive Director Anant Ambani welcomed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor to Jamnagar, Gujarat, for a tour of the company’s refinery complex.
The delegation was briefed on the refinery’s scale, advanced technology and integrated operations, as well as Reliance’s New Energy giga-factories being commissioned in phases and data centres under construction.
Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani outlined the company’s long-term vision to develop Jamnagar into a hub for deep technology, innovation and advanced manufacturing.
The visit also featured discussions on global energy markets and commercial opportunities across conventional and new energy. Key topics included affordable and reliable energy supplies, technological advancements, resilient supply chains and investments to meet rising demand.
The discussions extended to the growing link between energy and digital infrastructure, particularly the need for dependable power to support data centres and the expanding digital economy.
The Ambanis also explored potential collaboration with US companies, drawing on complementary strengths in technology, engineering and advanced manufacturing.
Reliance thanked Rubio and Gor for their visit. The Reliance’s did not announce any specific agreements or investment commitments arising from the discussions.
